Reading & knitting

Reading and knitting.

Knitting and reading.

Two of my favorite activities.  If they had arms, they would arm wrestle to see who gets to pop into my hands.

Current book:  A Year of Biblical Womanhood by Rachel Held Evans

Current knit:  Kittyville Hat from Stitch n' Bitch

By the way, this yarn is soooo soft.  I stop knitting every once-in-a-while just to fondle it.  If it were a different color I would seriously consider keeping this hat.

Oh, those are the best kinds of yarns, right? The ones you can't help but fondle once in awhile! :) Can't wait to see your finished product!

Fondling yarn what kind of blog is this???? :) and what's wrong with that color :)) I think I can say the same for making stuff and listening to music, two of my favorite solitary indulgences.

Krista - That color is definitely more you than it is me! ;-)

You're doing a beautiful job with the hat. Not my color, either, but it is gorgeous.

Rachel Held Evans is speaking at Hope in March. I might be able to make it. I haven't been back to the campus since before Doug Dickey died.

Kindle for me means that I can knit and read at the same time, because the Kindle lies flat! Love it.

Kathryn - I think she's been to Hope before. It's nice that they're having her back. I hope you get to listen to her!

Michelle - I've never tried knitting and reading at the same time. I'd have to figure out a way to prop up the Kindle so that I don't get a sore neck.
